Goals For 2011

I am not the New Years resolution type.  Occasionally there is something that pops into my mind that I would like to attempt to accomplish before the year is over.  I try to pick things that I won't be down and depressed about if it doesn't get done. 

So I set my sights on easy goals.  Well luckily for us they were fairly easy to accomplish.

2006 - get pregnant...done

2007 - go swimming at Big Splash with my 7 month preggo self in my 2 piece bikini...done

2008 - um have fun?...done

2009 - Get a new job...done

2010  - start recycling...done in October (ha)

This year I have a few things I would like to get done before the end of the year.  They are simple things. 

1.  Redo Jimmy's bathroom...no, it hasn't been touched besides me cleaning it

2.  Learn how to use Photoshop

3.  Redo the landscaping in the front yard.

4.  Learn to operate my sewing machine.  It is from like 1975 and attached to a cabinet (which is currently hiding in Kiera's closet because I have no idea where to put it).  Yep,  there it is below.  I have the hardest time just threading the stupid thing.  It was my grandparents and I got it after my grandpa passed away 5 years ago.  I have used it twice.  I hand stitch everything.  No bueno.

I am a jump right in kind of girl, Jimmy is not a jump right in type of boy (unless it involves purhcasing a 52" flat screen TV).  I am very impatient.  So his bathroom is really driving me up the wall.  It is such an easy thing to do!  There are a few places on the walls that need repair and I am confident in my skills that I can patch a couple tiny holes and spray on some wall texture spackling stuff.  Then slap some paint on the walls, add a new curtain and a few decorations and BAM it's done!     

Great.  Now I went off on a rant about the bathroom and Jimmy will either say "Fine, lets go buy the stuff so you can just do it and quit talking about it" or he will say "I told you we're not doing it yet so stop bringing it up."  But even though he reads this here blog daily I am not directing it towards him so he can't say I am bugging him about it right?  This blog is for me and my thoughts.  He just happens to have access to them.  

Besides, the money that could have gone towards the bathroom was just used to buy discounted Big Splash passes for us this summer.  Sun, swimming, friends, Kiera going down a slide into 10 feet of water all by herself...yes please!

 So there are my 4 measly little goals.  At least its something right? 

P.S. I do have bigger goals than these they just aren't as fun.
