There are good people in this world

The other morning Kiera and I were at Walmart picking up a few things.  While walking to the car the wind took hostage of my voided check that I paid with.  I was looking around at all the pieces of paper on the ground but none of them were my check.

I kept thinking of all the information that is listed on that tiny little piece of paper.  Our names.  Our address.  Jimmy's phone number.  Our driver license numbers!  Oh and of course our bank and account information!  If someone got a hold of it I am sure they could use our information to do all sorts of horrible things.  I figured that it was long gone or being run over by a car somewhere, plus I wasn't really going to scour the parking lot for this check since I didn't even see which direction it blew off in the first place, even though I was slightly freaking out on the inside.  So we left and continued on with our errands.

We were home for about 2 1/2 hours when I noticed something sticking out from our front door.

I opened it and found our check along with a note...

 How wonderful is that?

She left her phone number so I could call her to let her know I got it.  I had to leave a voicemail but I told her thank you about 10 times.

So so so thankful that it ended up in a good and honest persons hands who decided to return it to us.
