miracle grow kids

A while back I took Kiera to Wal Mart to pick out a flower so we could plant it in one of our flower pots.  She picked this huge marigold that she broke off before I could even plant the flower.  Luckily since then another bud has bloomed.

While we were waiting to pay for the flower I spotted these little Miracle Grow Kids flower kits.  They had a few different ones to choose from, even a tomato and eggplant kit.  We finally got around to putting it together and Jimmy even helped.  Someone else tried to get in on all the action.  See if you can find him.

So first you add the dirt...

Then you add some water and watch the soil swell up...

Then you stir the soil to make sure it is all nice and moist...

Then you add the seeds and put the lid on.  Throw that puppy in a sunny location and watch it grow!

After we finished putting it together Kiera wanted to help water all of our potted flowers afterwards.  I knew that 97 cent watering can (the one in the first picture) purchase would be worth it!

After we were finished Jimmy starting asking me where I got it and how much it was.  It was only a dollah!  He told me to go back and buy 10 more.  I haven't yet but one of these days I will.  Maybe.

Growing flowers is such a great way to teach kids to be patient. By the way, I believe that is MY dog's nose in that picture.
