New Camera Lens

For Christmas Jimmy got me the lens for my DLSR that I asked for.  

It is a Canon 50mm  f1.8 for those of you who may know what all that means.  

 It is going to take some getting use to but I am pretty sure I will be happy with it.   I was playing around with it tonight and someone always asks me to take their picture.  

Psh, how could I ever resist taking a picture of that face?  Really, if you could see how many thousands of pictures I have of her you would see that the answer is NEVER no.  
Here are a few I took to show exactly what it does.  Sharp pictures with super blurry background or foreground.
